CM Herzins is a 30 year public school educator who began making jewelry as a reward and incentive for staff and students working toward educational excellence. Upon retirement in 2009, she began a business she named ‘Bling Doctor’ because she likes “bling” and has her doctorate. She creates handmade, one-of-a-kind jewelry. Her pieces have traveled throughout the United States, Canada and back home to Italy and Switzerland. Her customers range from Miss America contestants to White House journalists. Here’s an example of what customers are saying: “I wanted to let you know I wore one of the necklaces I purchased to work yesterday and received tons of compliments! You do marvelous work, and it is nice to see so many original designs! I hope to see you again soon.” Some sample product descriptions: Circle of Life designs are created from Czechoslovakian seed beads that are formed into jump rings connected to each other in various type chains. For example, using the technique from the Roman Byzantine Empire chain maille artisans, Czechoslovakian seed beads are woven into a ‘Byzantine’ chain to form a distinctively different eye catching necklace. Additionally, other Seed bead designs are carefully woven to drape in various lengths making a cascading impact around the neck. The secret here is that the entire necklace is almost weightless; but makes a dramatic statement that may be worn for casual to formal attire. BFF Necklace Buddies and BFF Bracelet Buddies are made from various textures of semi precious, glass, crystal, acrylic beads and silver plated or pewter findings that are strategically organized to form necklaces and bracelets. At first these pieces look as if there is no cohesion or thought of how they are put together. However BFFs are cleverly arranged and placed in concert to complement each other as they cascade around the neck or wrist to form a most intriguing, eye catching symphony.
